Sanisphere is a French worker cooperative (SCOP) that designs, manufactures and installs eco-friendly public toilets, as well as providing associated maintenance and management services.
For over 30 years, Sanisphere has been a trusted partner to public authorities and private organisations seeking to provide users with high-quality public toilets that are elegant, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
With a portfolio of patented technologies, Sanisphere is recognised for its expertise and continuous innovation, challenging conventional approaches and promoting toilet solutions that are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective to operate. Today, the company is proud to export its “Made in France” expertise to several European countries.

How do we do it?
Through naturally smart technology
Sanisphere technology is based on a simple yet ingenious principle: the separation of solid and liquid waste.
Installed beneath the toilet unit, an inclined conveyor belt operated by a foot pedal separates liquid and solid waste, enabling more effective treatment while preventing unpleasant odours.
The result of continuous innovation, our approach relies on a powerful ally: nature.
Upfront analysis of customer needs and feasibility studies to ensure optimal operation;
Eco-design: life-cycle analysis of our toilets to minimise their environmental impact;
A treatment ecosystem composed of earthworms, bacteria, fungi and insects significantly reduces the volume of organic matter and processes it gradually over time, eliminating the need for frequent emptying;
Urine can be stored and stabilised to recover valuable nutrients, or infiltrated into the ground to nourish the soil;
Sun and wind create a natural airflow that draws air through the toilet bowl, preventing unpleasant odours inside the cubicle.
